The Ogaden
What is inside

A field guide, not a feed.

Six pieces make The Ogaden work — curation, a bucket list you actually keep, visited tracking, a quiet look at your own taste, an optional shareable profile, and the world's simplest maps link. That is it.

I Hand-picked, not algorithmic

A working list, tended by editors who live here.

Every place on The Ogaden is added by hand. No scraped review aggregates, no sponsored slots, no infinite scroll of nine-hundred coffee shops sorted by proximity. The list is short on purpose — the kind of list a friend actually recommends.

II Bucket list with notes & reordering

The list you would text a friend visiting for the weekend.

Save any place to a personal bucket list. Add notes — the corner booth, the Tuesday special, who told you about it. Drag to reorder. It stays yours, private by default, and it travels with you the next time you are in town.

III Visited tracking

Close the loop between planning and memory.

Mark a place done as you go. Build a private log of everywhere you have actually been — a slow-growing record of your city, more honest than a passport stamp. Optionally leave yourself a note for next time.

IV Interest analytics

See the shape of your own taste.

A quiet dashboard shows how your bucket list breaks down by category — how much of the list is Eat, how much is Explore, how many miles of hiking you have logged this year. No leaderboards. Just a mirror.

V Public profile

A single link, if you want to share.

Turn on your public profile and you get a clean, shareable page — the kind of link you would send a friend before they visit. Private by default; you decide what shows and what stays yours.

VI Google Maps + social links

One tap to the front door.

Every listing includes a Google Maps deep link, plus the venue's Instagram, website, and phone where relevant. No embedded map that never loads — just the app you already use, opened directly to the pin.
