Disclosure
How we use AI.
The Ogaden is written by people. But we sometimes use AI-assisted tools in narrow ways during production. This page spells out where — and where not.
Where AI shows up
- First-draft assistance. An editor may use an LLM to draft a starting caption or description, which is then rewritten by a person before publication.
- Tag and category cleanup. AI helps propose amenity tags on new listings; a human confirms every one.
- Copy editing. Same tools writers have used for years — spell check, grammar suggestions — running on our editorial CMS.
Where AI does not show up
- Selection of what goes on the guide — that is 100% editorial.
- Recommendations to logged-in users. There is no AI recommender at MVP; your bucket list is your bucket list.
- Reviews or ratings — we do not publish AI-generated reviews, ever.
- Personal data processing beyond what standard cloud infrastructure requires.
If this changes
If we ever add AI features that touch how your list is built or shown to you — for example, a recommender — we will update this page in plain language before the feature ships. No dark patterns.
